Sweet and Spicy Asparagus

Sweet and Spicy Asparagus 

A little sweet and a lot of spice. A definite must try!! 

INGREDIENTS:

1 pound asparagus
1 jalapeno, seeded and chopped
2 tablespoons brown sugar
2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil (EVOO)

DIRECTIONS:
  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Line a baking sheet with foil.  
  • In a medium mixing bowl or ziploc bag, mix together the chopped jalapeno, brown sugar, and EVOO.
  • Add asparagus to the bowl or ziploc bag and coat the asparagus evenly.
  • Place the asparagus in a single layer on the baking sheet. 
  • Bake for approx 15 minutes, turning once during the roasting time. 
  • Serve warm with your meal.
